When you want to boost performance and build value, turn to Stuart Friedman
As CEO of Stu Friedman Associates – a nationally acclaimed executive coaching and training consultancy – Stuart has focused on advancing business results for his clients, such as Apple Computer, Nissan, Genentech, Sony, Coldwell Banker and Microsoft.
During his 40 years in the high tech industry, Stuart Friedman has cultivated his passion for international travel and world cultures. He has held executive management positions in sales, marketing, and business development at established firms such as Texas Instruments, Intel and Honeywell, as well as numerous startup companies.
As vice president and general manager at Terayon Communication Systems, Friedman was directly responsible for the company’s broadband subscriber products. Through his ability to motivate, negotiate, and lead a multicultural organization with international alliances, he was able to grow the business from an unprofitable $20M product line to a $100M profitable division. As a result, Terayon became the industry’s second largest cable modem vendor after Motorola.
Friedman’s initial consulting practice leveraged this success, focusing primarily on strategic selling, market development, and ‘go to market’ strategies. Over time, it became clear that his familiarity with cross-cultural dynamics played a critical role in his clients’ success. At their request, he expanded his consulting activities to include cross-cultural advising and training. With his experiences in sales, marketing and general management, Stuart helps his clients improve business processes through providing cross-cultural competence across all operations within the corporation, improving their presentation skills, writing executive resumes that stand out from other equally qualified candidates, and greater success with job interviews.

For the past 17 years, Stuart has enabled organizations to enhance their bottom lines by exploiting the untapped potential of their workforce. He develops higher performing workforces for leading organizations from Fortune 500 and foreign multinational corporations to entrepreneurial startup companies.
Stuart has coached and mentored employees from the C-suite to key individual contributors with his witty anecdotal experiences, expertise, wisdom and compassion.
Stuart has been a speaker at TEDx events across the country, a contributing author to Fortune Magazine, Business Insider and Broadwayworld.com which recently featured Stuart’s interview with famed Broadway musical composer of Wicked, Stephen Schwartz.
Stuart has been interviewed on New York City’s most listened to morning radio station, WCBS Newsradio 880AM where he was heard five times each day on the “CEO Radio” program, and on WTOPS Radio (Washington DC). Additional interviews with Stuart have appeared in Forbes.com, BBC News and Crain’s Silicon Valley.
Stuart has been a guest lecturer at World Affairs Council of Northern California, University of Southern California’s Graduate School of Applied Psychology and San Francisco State University’s Business School.
He is currently an instructor at Stanford Continuing Studies.

Stuart has been a certified instructor with Richard Lewis Communication for the past decade, and an alum of Stanford University Professor BJ Fogg’s Bootcamp in Behavior Design. And just to keep things entertaining, he is also a graduate of the San Francisco Comedy College and has performed at the San Jose Improv comedy club.
After three years attending Carnegie Mellon University, Stuart received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University.
